Robert Capa Most Famous Work
He photographed the European theater throughout World War II, often taking enormous risks to get the powerful images for which he was known. Thus the internationally known Robert Capa was born. In July 1937 Taro was killed by a tank which sideswiped the car she had clambered onto in the retreat from Brunete. Capa and Taro were sent to Spain to cover the Spanish Civil War, where Capa took the picture that made him famous—a dying Loyalist soldier falling from the impact of a bullet.
